Donyi-Polo B.Ed College introduced B.A. (3 years) Degree Programme in the year 2017 with State Govt. Recognition and has been Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU).

The B.A Programme shall be of three academic years (six semesters). Students are, however, permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of five years from the date of admission to the programme. This programme will also be a foundation for those students who would like to do higher education in desired disciplines, including B.Ed (2 Years) after Graduation.
Eligibility
Admission Eligibility into B.A (3-yrs.) Course is 45% marks in the (10+2) exam. However, 5% of marks will be relaxable to local & ST/SC/OBC students and will be subjected to an Aptitude Test Conducted by Management Member(s) & Sr. Faculty Member(s) Principal, Comprised thereof as Board Members.
Admission Procedure
Intending applicants are to collect the prescribed application Forms and Prospectus from the College office counter and submit the duly filled-in application form along with attested copies of documents as per the time schedule notified in the form. Recommendation for admission may or may not be entertained. Admission of a student to the College will be preceded by parent/guardian's Interview. Failing to personal appearance of student/parent for interview and verification of documents will forfeit admission. Admission is granted strictly on merit basis and subject to availability of seats.
Courses/Subject Combination Offered
The Subjects offered under the B.A. Programme are English, Elective English, Education, Hindi, Political Science, History and Geography, of which Compulsory English is for all the students. Besides, a student needs to choose 3 (three) Elective papers from out of Elective English-Education-Hindi-History-Political Science and Geography.
Documents Required for Admission
- Attested copy of the Secondary Board Exam Certificate and Mark Sheets (Class-X)
- Attested copy of Higher Secondary/Sr. Secondary (10+2) from any Board/Council Exam Mark Sheets.
- Attested copy of School Leaving Certificate (TC) from the Institution last attended.
- Character Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution last attended.
- Original Gap Certificate or Break Certificate in the form of "AFFIDAVIT" if there break in studies.
- Original Transfer/Leaving Certificate.
- Original Migration Certificate (for those who are not of CBSE).
- Original CBSE Migration Certificate for those coming from other state.
- Three (3) Extra copies of recent passport size photograph with name and class written at the back of it.
Submission of Original Documents
The Admitted students are required to submit all the Original Certificates and Mark-Sheets of all Examinations passed till date (Class-X onwards). Submission of Pass Certificate and also Migration Certificate for Registration of migrated students other than CBSE Board are an essential requirement since admission is subjected to Verification by RGU & failing to do so will result in cancellation of Admission.- Issuance of Prospectus and Forms for the new admission will commence on or after the declaration of CBSE Class XII result or Council Exam Results of any other states.
- Forms will be issued in first preference to students who have secured a minimum of 50% in Class-XII in aggregate and above.
- Failed candidates from other colleges under RGU will not be given admission. Students having Gap in their study may be given admission, if they fulfill the required criteria and a GAP CERTIFICATE fumished for registration in this regard.
- Duly filled-in application forms are to be returned to the College office within due date in the month of June every year.
- Against any vacant seat(s), Admission will be opened to passed-out students who have secured minimum of 50% Marks (General) and a minimum of 45% Marks (ST/SC/OBC) in the Class-XII or equivalent exams, irrespective of the passing year(s).
- Three (3) copies of recent passport-size photograph written name at the back of it.
Admission/Re-Admission to Upper Semesters
Admission/ Re-Admission of Students will be commenced immediately after the end of their semester examinations.- Students who have passed or are promoted with back papers can move up to next upper semesters.
- Semester students who are declared failed by RGU cannot proceed ahead to the next Semester and they will not be re-admitted in college.
Documents Required for Re-Admission
- Attested copy of Mark-Sheets of previous examinations passed.
- Attested copy of University Registration Card.
- Two (2) copies of recent passport-size photograph dressed in college uniform with name and class written at the back of it.
Honours Paper(s)
- The students admitted to B.A.(3-Yrs) Course have to select an honours subject from first semester onwards. They will have to opt for anyone of the elective papers as Major Subject.
- Any student failing in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th-Semester will have to repeat the semester (attend classes, give the internal tests and qualify for the semester examination).
